There are 15 stores needed to be robbed in Grand Theft Auto Vice City in order to get 100%. To rob a store, you must have a gun with auto aim, you can see these at the section "Which Weapons To Use" towards the bottom of the guide. Walk into a store and equip your desired weapon, then auto-aim at the store worker. He will stand back, and put his hands up, He will then give you cash one at a time, the first cash icon he will give you wont do anything to your wanted level.

The second will give you 1 star, the third will give you 2 stars and the 4th will give you 3 stars. The longer you hold up the shop keeper for, the more he will give you, but consequently your wanted level will rise too.

You only have to collect one of his money icons, then you can kill him, and the store rob will still count, so you can escape with only 1 wanted star!

You can kill the shopkeeper first then collect his money he doesn't have to be alive when you take the money. Don’t try to rob the Ammu-nation, the guy is armed and will fire.
